The leaves have fallen and the crisp wintery air nips at your nose.
The scent of pumpkin spice and cinnamon apple flows.
Thanksgiving is here and families start to gather for a big feast;
Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and don’t forget the roast beast.
It’s that time of year when we love to give thanks for blessings bestowed.
But why do we think this is the best time for praises to be owed?
Giving thanks should be a daily opportunity, not just a yearly tradition.
Think of it as a privilege of life, one of God’s great commissions.
Be thankful for everything He has given to you, the good and the bad.
View trials as blessings, they build strength you never knew you had.
Rejoice in good times; shout to the heavens above;
Because all things, big and small, are God’s labor of love.
Always having an attitude of gratitude will go a long way;
Don’t hold it all in until Thanksgiving Day!
